Grenada Passport Issued for a Company Client

Grenada passport

This client had applied for Grenada citizenship by investment program by contributing to the National Transformation Fund.  Following the approval of his application, the certificate of citizenship and Grenada passport were issued.

What is Grenada National Transformation Fund?

The National Transformation Fund (NTF) was established in 2013 as a means of transforming Grenada’s economy into one that is ever more prosperous and independent. The NTF finances various projects in Grenada in many industries, including tourism, agriculture, and alternative energy. Having made a donation to the NTF, investors are rewarded with the very well-respected and credited passport of Grenada for themselves and their entire families. Eligible applicants, once approved are required to make a one-time, non-refundable monetary contribution to the NTF. The value of the investment contribution will vary depending on the number of dependents.

A key benefit of donating to NTF is the lack of complications associated with owning vacation real estate. However, the NTF program is a non-refundable contribution; whereas the option to purchase real estate through the Citizenship by Investment program offers the return of investment, or perhaps a benefit after the fifth year.

The Process of Obtaining Citizenship of Grenada through Investment in NTF

The CBI office processes investment applications rapidly. The process is straightforward and will take only 3 to 6 months.

The applicant has three main steps to follow and the rest of the application will be handled by the agent:

1- The investor signs the Professional Service Agreement with the consulting company, which starts the phase of document gathering.

2- The investor completes all the application forms and provides the supporting documents, with the consulting company’s assistance.

3- Finally, he pays the relevant application fees to the government of Grenada, wiring these to the designated escrow account at a bank in Grenada.

Legal Documents Issued in Each Step of Your Application

  • Letter of Acceptance

Upon receipt of the payments, the Local Agent submits the application to the CBI Office in Grenada, and the processing starts. The expected duration is 90 days if no queries arise. Once the processing has concluded, the CBI Committee issues an official letter communicating its decision on the application. At this point, a Letter of Acceptance will be sent to the applicant informing the status provided the application is approved.

  • Certificate of Naturalization

Following the processing time, a Certificate of Naturalization is issued which is a document to prove that the person named on the certificate has obtained a country’s citizenship through naturalization. Naturalization refers to the process in which a person not born in the destination country voluntarily becomes a citizen. For foreign-born persons, naturalization is the most common way to become a citizen.

  • Certificates of Registration as citizen + Passport

Upon approval, the CBI office issues the Certificates of Registration as a citizen of Grenada, after which the Local Agent acquires the Grenadian passports. The Passport and Certificate of Registration are delivered to the investor in person, or sent to the investor via a reputable courier service.
